The Original Strap Gave Up Before the Watch Did.

A cheap strap goes first. The edges fray, the holes stretch into slots, and the lining starts to peel. The watch underneath is fine, but it looks like it has done thirty years in a shed, and it is only a matter of time before the strap lets go.

This is a replacement leather band for watches with 20 mm or 22 mm lugs. The seller describes it as genuine top-grain leather, cowhide on both faces, with an oil and wax finish, double stitching down the edges and a sealed, polished edge. It fastens with a stainless steel tang buckle, and quick-release spring bars let you swap it with a fingertip.

Two things straight up. It is leather, so keep it out of the water. And it only fits watches with standard spring bars at 20 mm or 22 mm, not an Apple Watch or a Garmin QuickFit watch.

What it Does
  • Replaces a Tired Strap: a leather band for any watch with 20 mm or 22 mm lugs and standard spring bars.
  • Swaps in Seconds: quick-release spring bars, so the band comes off and goes on without tools.
  • Ages with Wear: the seller says the waxed leather deepens in colour and softens as you wear it, so each one ends up looking a bit different.
  • Matches your Watch: seven leather colours, each with a silver, black, gold or rose-gold buckle, depending on the option.
Key Features
  • Top-Grain Cowhide: the seller states genuine top-grain leather, with cowhide on the outer and inner face.
  • Layered Build: the seller's cut-away shows cowhide, a stiffening layer and a tensile layer glued between the two faces.
  • Oil & Wax Finish: oil and wax worked into the leather, which gives the worn, vintage look in the pictures.
  • Double Stitching: contrast stitching down both edges, with the edges sealed and polished.
  • Thickness: about 5.5 mm near the spring bar, tapering to about 3 mm at the tail, from the seller's picture.
  • Stainless Steel Tang Buckle: in silver, black, gold or rose gold, by option.
  • Delivery: Free Standard Delivery, 5 to 10 working days from the day you order. Allow 1–2 days for fulfilment. Regional and remote addresses can take longer.

Limits

It is Not Waterproof.

One of the seller's pictures calls this strap waterproof. We are not standing behind that. Leather that gets soaked can stain, stiffen and crack, whatever is on it. Rain and sweat are fine; take it off before you swim, shower or wash the ute, and let it dry naturally if it does get wet. If your watch lives in the water, a silicone band is the better choice.

It will Not Fit Apple Watch or Garmin QuickFit.

Both use their own connectors instead of standard spring bars. Samsung Galaxy watches and most standard analogue and smart watches use 20 mm or 22 mm spring bars, but not all of them, so measure yours before you order rather than going by the brand name.

No Two are Exactly Alike.

The seller notes it is a natural product, so the colour can differ slightly from the photos, and the colour changes again as it wears in.

Length is Not Given.

The seller does not state the strap length or a wrist size range. If your wrist is very small or very large, keep that in mind.

Q & A

How do I Measure my Lug Width?

Measure the gap between the two lugs on your watch, where the strap and its spring bar meet the case, in millimetres. That gap has to match the band exactly, 20 mm or 22 mm, or the spring bars will not seat properly. If your old strap has a number stamped on the back near the watch end (a "20" or "22"), that is the same figure.

Will it Fit my Apple Watch or my Garmin?

No. Apple Watch straps slide into a slot in the case rather than sitting on spring bars, so a spring-bar band will not go on. It will not fit Garmin QuickFit either, which uses its own locking connector. Garmin watches that take standard spring bars will fit if the lug width is 20 mm or 22 mm.

Can I Wear it on the Job?

Yes, for an office, a cab or a dry site. For wet, muddy or wash-down work, leather is the wrong strap. Swap to silicone for those days. The quick-release bars make that a ten-second job.

What does the Number in the Colour Name Mean?

It is the buckle colour. Each leather colour comes with a silver, black, gold or rose-gold buckle, and the option name tells you which.

How Long is it?

The seller does not give a length or a wrist range. The 5.5 mm and 3 mm figures are thickness, not length.
