A Cracked Strap Should Not Retire a Good Watch.

The watch still keeps time, but the strap it came with has gone hard, split at the holes or turned sticky with sweat. Then the keeper tears, the loose end flaps, and one day the watch is lying in the dirt behind the ute instead of on your wrist.

This is a replacement silicone band for watches with 20 mm or 22 mm lugs. It is two layers of silicone, in two colours on most options, with a solid 316L stainless steel tang buckle and a strap keeper that locks the loose end in place. Quick-release spring bars mean it goes on and comes off in seconds with a fingertip, no tools.

Straight up: it only fits watches that use standard spring bars at 20 mm or 22 mm. It will not fit an Apple Watch or a Garmin QuickFit watch. Measure your lug width before you order. How to do that is in the Q & A below.

Limits

It will Not Fit Apple Watch or Garmin QuickFit.

Both use their own connectors instead of standard spring bars. This band suits watches with plain 20 mm or 22 mm lugs and spring bars only. Samsung Galaxy watches and most standard analogue and smart watches use 20 mm or 22 mm spring bars, but not all of them, so measure yours before you order rather than going by the brand name.

It is Not Sold for Swimming.

The seller says the silicone is water and sweat resistant and calls it a great choice for swimming. A strap does not carry a water rating, and whether you can swim depends on your watch, not the band. Rain, sweat and a wash under the tap are fine. Check your watch's own rating before you take it in the water, and rinse the band after salt water.

The Length Figures do Not Agree.

The seller's drawing gives a 122 mm long piece and a 72 mm buckle piece, which works out to 194 mm of strap. The seller's attribute list says "band length 22 cm". We print both as given. No wrist size range is stated, so if you have a very small or very large wrist, measure it against those figures first.

18 mm is Not Offered Here.

The supplier makes this band in 18 mm too, but we only list 20 mm and 22 mm.

Q & A

How do I Measure my Lug Width?

Measure the gap between the two lugs on your watch, where the strap and its spring bar meet the case, in millimetres. That gap has to match the band exactly, 20 mm or 22 mm, or the spring bars will not seat properly. If your old strap has a number stamped on the back near the watch end (a "20" or "22"), that is the same figure.

Will it Fit my Apple Watch or my Garmin?

No. Apple Watch straps slide into a slot in the case rather than sitting on spring bars, so a spring-bar band will not go on. It will not fit Garmin QuickFit either, which uses its own locking connector. Garmin watches that take standard spring bars will fit if the lug width is 20 mm or 22 mm.

My Watch Measures 21 mm. Which do I Buy?

Neither will fit properly. The band has to match the lug gap exactly, so a 20 mm band will rattle in a 21 mm gap and a 22 mm band will not go in. Measure again with a ruler that reads millimetres. If it really is 21 mm, this is the wrong band.

Do I Need Tools to Fit it?

No. The spring bars have a small lever on each end. Slide it with a fingertip, drop the bar into the lug holes, let it go, and give the band a tug to make sure it has seated.

What does the Number in the Colour Name Mean?

It is the buckle colour. Each colour pairing comes with a silver, black, gold or rose-gold buckle, and the option name tells you which one you are getting.
