Three Days at Camp and Still No Shower?

A cup and a bucket gets the worst of the dust off, but it's slow, you miss half of yourself and you end up standing in mud. A hanging shower bag needs a branch and a strong arm to get the water up there. What you want is to put a bucket of water on the ground, pick up a shower head and wash.

That's what this is: a rechargeable pump on a 2 m hose with a hand-held shower head. Drop the pump into your water, hold the button for about 2 seconds, and it pushes water up to the head in your hand or on its hook. A screen on top shows the battery level and the water temperature. It charges over USB-C, like a phone.

Bucket not included. You supply the water: any bucket, tub or sink full of water works, and the pump sits in it. It doesn't heat the water either. Warm it yourself (a kettle tipped into a bucket of cold, or water left out in the sun) and read the temperature off the screen.

What it Solves
  • A Proper Wash at Camp: rinse off the dust and sunscreen beside the tent instead of a cold cup-and-bucket job.
  • Salt & Sand After the Beach: hose yourself and the kids down before anyone gets back in the car.
  • Washing Up at the Camp Kitchen: run water over the pots and plates instead of dunking everything in one grey basin.
  • Hot Water System Dead at Home: boil the kettle, top up a bucket, and you've still got a warm shower while you wait for the plumber.
  • Mud on the Farm or Site: rinse boots, hands and gear at the end of the day with no tap anywhere near.
Key Features
  • Temperature & Battery Screen: shows the water temperature in °C and the battery in per cent, so you know it's warm enough and charged before you strip off.
  • High & Low Modes: a High and Low setting on the display; the maker calls Low its energy-saving mode but doesn't say how much it changes the flow or the run time.
  • 6000 mAh Battery: 3.7 V, 6000 mAh by the label on the unit; the maker says it charges in 1 to 2 hours.
  • USB-C Charging: a Type-C port on top, 5 V 2 A input. Charge it from a phone charger, a power bank or the car's USB port (shown in the maker's picture). Cable included.
  • 2 m Hose: a 2 m PVC hose; the maker gives about 2.35 m from the pump to the head overall.
  • Control at the Head: Black and Grey have a water-stop ball valve on the head, so you can stop the water to soap up without reaching down to the pump. Green has a switch and a flow knob on the head instead (maker's picture).
  • Hook Rack, Five Angles: the rack holds the head at five angles. By the maker's pictures its hooks hang over a rail or a branch, and its back sticks to a smooth wall or glass.
  • Three Colours: Grey and Black come with a black hose and a black-and-gold head; Green comes with a white hose and a green head.

Limits

Bucket Not Included. You need your own water container: a bucket, tub or sink. The pump is about 7.6 × 12 cm and has to sit in the water, so the container needs an opening wider than that. A jerry can's spout usually isn't; tip the water into a bucket first.

It doesn't Heat Water. The screen reads the temperature, nothing more. The label on the unit says the water shouldn't be over 60 °C, and not to use it with a heating rod (immersion heater) in the water at the same time. Don't pour boiling water straight in: mix it with cold and check the screen.

Don't Run it Dry. The label says not to run it for a long time with no water or with the water level low. Switch it off before the bucket runs out.

Flow & Run Time are the Maker's Figures. The maker's picture of the Green model says about 9 to 10 litres a minute and 18 to 20 showers of 35 to 40 litres on a full charge. We haven't tested those, and the maker gives no flow or run-time figure for the Black and Grey. Charge it before a trip.

Lift Height: Not Specified. The maker doesn't say how high above the water it will push. Keep the bucket on the ground below you.

No Water Rating Claimed. The pump is made to sit in the water, that's how it works, but the maker publishes no water rating for it, so we don't claim one. Charge it out of the water.

No Wall Plug in the Box. Charge from a phone charger, a power bank or a car USB port.

Q & A

Do I Need a Bucket?

Yes. The bucket is not included. Any bucket, tub or sink of water works; the pump goes in the water and the hose carries it up to the head. Carrying water in a jerry can? Tip it into a bucket first, because the pump won't fit through the spout.

Does it Heat the Water?

No. It shows you the water temperature, it doesn't change it. Warm the water first, with a kettle into the bucket or water left in the sun, and keep it under 60 °C, as the label on the unit says.

How do I Charge it?

Through the USB-C port on top, 5 V 2 A, from a phone charger, a power bank or a car USB port. The maker says 1 to 2 hours for a full charge. A charging cable is in the box; a wall plug isn't.

How Long does a Charge Last?

For the Green, the maker's picture says 18 to 20 showers of about 35 to 40 litres each. The maker gives no figure for the Black and Grey. That's the maker's figure, not ours.

What's the Difference Between the Colours?

Black and Grey come with a black hose and a black-and-gold head with a water-stop ball valve. Green comes with a white hose and a green head with a switch and a flow knob.

How Long does Delivery Take?

Free Standard Delivery. Allow 5 to 10 working days from the day you order. Allow 1–2 days for fulfilment. Regional and remote addresses can take longer. Ordering from outside Australia? Import duty and tax on arrival are yours to pay.
