Track My Order

Did I already take it, or am I about to take it twice?

Shift work pulls a routine apart. You come off nights, you sleep at the wrong end of the day, and by the time you are upright again you genuinely cannot remember whether you took something four hours ago or fourteen.

Most people lean on a phone alarm for this. That works right up until the phone is flat, sitting on silent in the crib room, or locked away on the other side of the site.

This is a small pill box with a countdown timer built into the front of it. Two compartments in a slide-out drawer, three buttons, and a beeper. You dial up an interval with the HR and MIN buttons, press START/STOP, and it counts down and beeps when it reaches zero. No app, no pairing, no phone involved.

It is a convenience, not a safeguard, and the difference matters. Read the Limits tab before you decide it suits you.

What It Does
  • Counts down an interval: set it with the HR and MIN buttons, up to 99 hours 59 minutes, then press START/STOP to run it.
  • Beeps when it lands: the supplier states the alarm sounds for about 30 seconds when the countdown reaches zero.
  • Keeps two lots apart: the drawer is split into two compartments, so two different things are not rattling around together.
  • Pauses and clears: START/STOP pauses a countdown that is already running, and HR and MIN pressed together clear what you have keyed in.
  • Runs on one cell: a single LR44 button cell, supplied fitted. Nothing to charge and no cable to lose.
  • Goes in a pocket: about 90 × 50 × 20 mm and 45 g, so it lives in a shirt pocket, a crib bag or a glovebox.
Key Features
  • Two compartments: in a drawer that slides out of the bottom of the body.
  • Stated capacity: about six capsules, or ten to fifteen tablets, per compartment.
  • Countdown range: anything up to 99 hours 59 minutes.
  • Three buttons: HR, MIN and START/STOP, and that is the whole interface.
  • LCD readout: plain black digits on a small display on the front face.
  • Audible only: a beeper, with no vibration alert and no light.
  • ABS and PP build: ABS housing with a PP drawer, as stated by the supplier.
  • One button cell: LR44, supplied fitted.
  • Pocket dimensions: approximately 90 × 50 × 20 mm, 45 g.
  • White and blue: white body with blue buttons, in one finish only.

Limits

This is the part worth reading. It is a plastic box with a beeper in it, and there is plenty it does not do.

  • Not a medical device: we have sighted no TGA registration, no medical approval and no certificate of any kind for it. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition.
  • Not something to rely on: it can be knocked off a bench, the cell can go flat with no warning, the beeper can go unheard next to a running machine, and it can be left sitting on the kitchen bench. If a missed dose or a doubled dose actually matters, this must not be your only safeguard.
  • A countdown, not a clock: you set an interval and it runs down. You do not set times of day, and it does not hold a list of daily alarms.
  • It does not dispense: it will not release anything, lock, count what is inside, or record whether you actually took it. The beep is the whole of it.
  • Not sealed: the drawer is a sliding fit, not a gasket. It is not waterproof, no water rating is claimed and none was tested. It makes no promise about keeping anything dry, cool or dark, so anything with a storage requirement stays in its own packaging.
  • No labelling: two plain compartments with nothing printed on them. Whatever you load, you are the one who has to remember which side is which.
  • Nothing here is advice: we do not tell you what to take, how much of it, or when. That is between you, your doctor and your pharmacist, and their instructions override anything a timer beeps at you.

Q & A

Will a big capsule actually fit?

The supplier states roughly six capsules, or ten to fifteen tablets, per compartment. It does not publish the internal dimensions of the compartments, so there is no millimetre figure to measure against. An ordinary capsule fits; something unusually long may not.

Can I set it for three separate times a day?

No. It is a single countdown, not a diary. You set one interval, it runs down, it beeps, and then you set it again. It will not hold several fixed times of day at once, so if that is what you are after, this is not the device that does it.

Can I change the battery?

It takes one LR44 button cell and it arrives fitted. The supplier does not state whether the housing is meant to be opened for a replacement, and none of the supplied photographs show the back of the unit, so we cannot confirm it either way. Treat it as unknown rather than assuming it.

How loud is the beeper?

The supplier says it sounds for about 30 seconds and gives no volume figure at all. It is a small beeper in a small plastic body, so plan on it being enough in a quiet room and nowhere near enough in a plant room, a moving vehicle, or through hearing protection.

Is the plastic BPA-free?

Some sellers of the same unit describe it that way. We have not sighted any test document for it, so it is listed as unconfirmed rather than stated as fact. The housing is ABS and the drawer is PP, as stated by the supplier.

How long does delivery take?

10 to 14 days from the day you order, and it is worth allowing up to 3 weeks. Regional and remote addresses run longer again. Shipping is free to Australia and New Zealand.
