The summer shirt that still has pockets.

Come summer you strip back to a t-shirt and lose every pocket you had. Phone, notebook, pen, swipe card — they all end up in your pants, on the dash, or somewhere in the ute.

This is a plain button-front shirt with two proper chest pockets, both with a buttoned flap over the top, so what goes in stays in when you lean over a tray or climb down off a machine. Short sleeves, a real collar, ten colours, and sizes from M through to 5XL.

What we cannot tell you is what it is made of. The supplier's own listing says quick dry in one line and cotton in the next, and those two do not go together. No composition and no care label appears anywhere on the artwork, so we are not printing either claim. What the photos do show is a woven, garment-washed fabric with enough body to hold the collar and the pocket flaps in shape.

What It Does
  • Carries the small stuff: phone, notebook, pen and swipe card sit on your chest instead of your back pocket.
  • Keeps the pockets shut: a buttoned flap over each one, so nothing tips out when you bend forward.
  • Covers the shoulders: collar and a full back, so it works pulled on over a singlet in the heat.
  • Tucks in or hangs out: curved shirt tail, so it stays put tucked in and still sits straight when it is not.
  • Site to town: plain colours and a clean back with nothing printed across it.
Key Features
  • Twin chest pockets: patch pockets with a pleated centre, each closed by a buttoned flap.
  • Full button front: button-through placket running from the collar to the hem.
  • Turn-down collar: pointed collar on a stitched stand that holds its shape.
  • Plain short sleeve: hemmed, with no cuff, tab or roll-up strap.
  • Seamed shoulder yoke: yoke across the back with a plain panel below it and no vents.
  • Shaped through the body: vertical front and side seams rather than a straight box cut.
  • Metal-look buttons: antique-finish buttons carrying a stamped maker's mark, plus a small branded tab above the right chest pocket.
  • Ten colourways: black, army green, green, khaki, ginger, red, denim blue, dark blue, grey and rice white.
  • Seven sizes: M, L, XL, XXL, XXXL, 4XL and 5XL, against the supplier's chart in the Specs tab.
Limits
  • Fabric is unconfirmed: the supplier's listing claims both quick dry and cotton, and neither is printed on anything we can see. Treat the fabric as unknown until it is in your hands.
  • Sized to the supplier's chart: those figures are the garment, not you. The size L neck label is marked 175/92A, which is cut for a man around 175 cm (1750 mm) tall with a 92 cm (920 mm) chest. Check the table in Specs before you pick a size.
  • Short sleeves leave your forearms out: this one is for getting through the heat, not for cover through the middle of the day. If you are out in it from start to finish, a long sleeve shirt does more for you.
  • Not rated workwear: no reflective tape, no flame or cut resistance, and no part of it is tested or marked to AS/NZS 4602.1 for hi-vis workwear. Where site rules call for a rated shirt, this is not one.
  • Branding varies between photos: the supplier's own shots do not agree on which woven label and leather patch the shirt carries, so we cannot promise which one turns up on yours.

Q & A

Is it cotton?

We do not know, and we are not going to guess. The supplier calls it quick dry in the title and cotton in the description, and no composition or care label appears in any of the photos. The spec table says "Not specified by supplier" for that reason.

What size should I order?

Work off the chart in the Specs tab rather than the size you take at home. Those figures are the garment laid flat, so lay out a shirt you already wear, measure straight across the chest, double it, and match that against the Bust column.

Does it go big enough for a larger bloke?

The chart runs to 5XL at a 128 cm (1280 mm) bust and an 82 cm (820 mm) body length. The supplier puts that size against 96–110 kg, which is their guide and not ours.

Will a phone fit in the chest pocket?

The supplier states no pocket size, so we cannot give you a number. Both are full-width chest patch pockets with a pleat and a buttoned flap, and the photos show them against the collar and the buttons if you want to judge the proportion.

Can I wear it on a hi-vis site?

No. It is a plain shirt with no reflective tape and no standard marked on it anywhere. Where the site rules call for rated hi-vis, wear a rated shirt or vest instead.

How long does delivery take?

Allow 10 to 14 days from the day you order, and up to three weeks in busy periods or out to regional and remote addresses. Delivery is free to Australia and New Zealand.
