The Tee That doesn't Go Wavy at the Neck
Cheap T-shirts fail at the collar first. Three washes and the neck has stretched into a wavy frill, the hems have curled, and the fabric is thin enough to read through. It ends up as a rag.
This one is heavyweight cotton, 300 grams per square metre on the supplier's labels, with a thick ribbed collar and twin rows of stitching around the neck. The supplier's close-ups show the doubled collar, the stitched shoulder line and neat hems. It is a plain tee with no print, in seven colours.
It is a boxy, roomy cut but the sizes stop at 3XL, which is 124 cm around the chest on the supplier's chart, about an Australian L on our sizing.
What it Does
- Keeps its Shape: heavyweight 300 g cotton and a thick ribbed collar.
- Holds the Neckline: twin rows of stitching around the collar, shown in the supplier's collar close-ups.
- Covers Up: a thick knit that is not see-through, per the supplier.

Limits
Stops at 3XL. The biggest is 124 cm around the chest, about an Australian L on our chart. For a big man it will be tight.
Cotton shrinks. No care label is published. Wash it cool and line dry it to keep the size.
Heavy means warm. 300 g cotton is a lot of shirt. On a 40-degree day a lighter polyester top will feel cooler.
Returns. Returns cover faulty items and items not as described; change of mind and wrong size are not covered, which is why the full measurements are on this page.
Q & A
How Heavy is 300 g?
300 grams per square metre of fabric. A typical cheap tee is around half that, which is why this one holds its shape and is not see-through.
Which Size?
Go by the chest. The supplier also gives height and weight bands: for example XL for 180 to 184 cm and 80 to 90 kg, 3XL for 185 to 195 cm and 100 to 115 kg. Bodies vary, so check the centimetres.
Is There Any Print or Logo?
No. Plain on the front and back. There is a small care label inside the neck.

How we work out the Australian size: we take the garment's chest from the supplier's own chart, allow 15 cm of room (Bisley Workwear's published figure for its closest-fitting cut) and match what is left to the body-chest sizes on Bisley Workwear's men's size chart. It is a guide, not a promise: measure a top that already fits you, flat across the chest and doubled, and compare that with the chest column.
