Two people, one mat, no gap down the middle.
Two single mats never stay put. You turn in side by side, and somewhere around two in the morning they have wandered apart and one of you is lying in the gap with a draught coming up off the cold ground.
A bad night out bush is not just a grumpy morning. You are slower, your judgement is off, and you are making calls a long way from help — on a remote camp, out on a farm block, or pulled up at the end of a track with the swag in the back.
This is one piece. A double-width air mat with two pillows built into the head end and a foot pump moulded into the foot end, so you stand on it, work it with your boot, and it fills. Nothing to blow into and no separate pump to pack, lose or break.
Be straight about what it is, though. This is a lightweight air mat, not a foam swag. The shell is 40D nylon with a TPU coating — a light, packable cloth picked to keep the whole thing near 1.5 kg, not a heavy canvas. It carries no insulation rating, so on genuinely cold ground you still want something underneath it.
What It Does
- Sleeps two on one surface: one mat instead of two, so there is no centre gap to roll into and nothing to slide apart overnight.
- Inflates off your boot: the pump panel is part of the mat at the foot end. No separate pump, no mouth inflating, nothing extra to buy.
- Sets each pillow to suit: both pillows run their own valve, so head height adjusts between 50 mm and 140 mm without touching the bed pressure.
- Dumps air quickly: separate inlet and outlet valves, with two outlets so it goes down fast instead of being wrestled flat.
- Packs into its own bag: rolls to roughly 300 mm long and drops into the drawstring stuff bag supplied with it.
Key Features
- One-piece double: a single mattress for two adults, with two pillows built into the head end.
- Integrated foot pump: the inflation panel is part of the mat, not an accessory.
- Two-layer valve: a multi-function inlet on the first layer and quick deflation on the second.
- Adjustable pillows: 50 mm to 140 mm of head height, each on its own independent air valve.
- 40D nylon shell: TPU coated, so it sheds dew and wipes down with a cloth.
- Baffled sleeping surface: wave-shaped cells across the whole mat rather than long straight tubes.
- Light for its size: 1.45 kg to 1.5 kg including the stuff bag.
- Packs small: about 300 mm long by 150 mm to 160 mm across.
- Three colourways: army green, navy blue or grey.
- Air only, no foam: it is an air mat with a pump, not a self-inflating foam mat.
Free delivery to Australia and New Zealand, no minimum spend. Most orders land 10 to 14 days from the day you order — allow up to three weeks in a busy patch. If it turns up faulty or it is not what this page said it was, we sort it out under Australian Consumer Law. Australian owned and run, and a real person answers.
Limits
Here is what this mat will not do, plus one thing the supplier cannot keep straight and we are not going to paper over.
- The stated size does not agree with itself: two of the supplier panels give 1.9 m x 1.3 m at 60 mm thick. Two others give 2 m x 1.4 m at 100 mm thick. We cannot settle which one ships, so plan your tent floor around the larger figure and your comfort around the smaller one.
- It is not self-inflating: there is no foam core. The foot pump does the work, and filling a mat this size takes a minute or two of standing on it.
- No insulation rating: no R-value is printed anywhere on this product and we will not invent one. An air mat loses heat to the ground. On cold nights put a closed-cell mat or a blanket under it.
- The fabric is light, not tough: 40D nylon is a packable cloth chosen for weight. It is not an abrasion fabric. Clear the sticks and stones off your patch before you lay it down.
- No load rating we can stand behind: sellers of comparable mats quote anything from 150 kg to 400 kg. None of those figures is printed on this product and none of those listings matches it exactly, so we publish no number.
- Not rated waterproof: the TPU coating sheds dew and wipes clean, but there is no IP rating and no hydrostatic head figure behind it. Treat it as water resistant, and do not use it as your groundsheet.
- No repair patch confirmed: some mats in this family ship with patches. This one is not stated to, so assume you supply your own.
- It does not link to another mat: there are no side connector buckles on it. It is already a double, and it will not buckle onto a second one.
Q & A
How does it inflate, and do I need to buy a pump?
The pump is built in. There is an inflation panel at the foot end of the mat — you stand on it and work it with your boot, and it fills through the inlet valve. You do not need a separate pump, a compressor or a pump sack, and there is nothing with a battery in it to go flat.
Is it self-inflating?
No. A self-inflating mat has an open-cell foam core that draws air in on its own when you open the valve. This one has no foam in it at all. It is air only, filled by the foot pump. If you specifically want a mat that swells up by itself, this is not that mat.
Will it fit my tent?
Measure your floor before you order, because the supplier is not consistent on this. Two of its panels say 1.9 m long by 1.3 m wide; two others say 2 m by 1.4 m. If your tent floor takes 2 m x 1.4 m you are covered either way. If it is tighter than that, this one may not suit you and we would rather say so now.
Will my hip hit the ground if I sleep on my side?
The supplier quotes 60 mm on one panel and 100 mm on another. At 60 mm a heavier side sleeper on hard, uneven ground may still feel the high spots through it. On grass, sand or a cleared pad it is comfortable. It is a lightweight air mat, not a mattress.
Will I be warm enough on cold ground?
On mild nights, yes. On cold ones, not on its own. No R-value or thermal figure is stated for it, and an air mat with nothing in it conducts your body heat straight into the ground. In the cold, run a foam mat or a blanket underneath and treat this as the comfort layer.
How small does it pack down, and what does it weigh?
Roughly 300 mm long by 150 mm to 160 mm across in the stuff bag supplied, at 1.45 kg to 1.5 kg. That is small enough to strap to the outside of a pack and light enough that carrying it is not the problem.
