Kneeling on gravel is what kills work trousers.

Pulling cable in a trench, changing a tyre on the shoulder, running a fence line across a paddock — you spend half the day down on one knee. Strap-on pads help until they slide down your shin, and the day you leave them in the ute is the day you kneel on a bolt.

This set puts the padding inside the clothes. The trousers carry a pocket at each knee and the shirt carries one at each elbow, and four removable pads drop into them. The padding is already on you when you go down, and it comes out again when you wash the gear.

It is a two-piece set: one shirt and one pair of cargo trousers, same camo, same size letter. The shirt is cut in the combat-shirt style — a lighter knit panel through the body and underarms so it sits flat under a vest or a pack, with tougher woven camo on the sleeves, yoke and collar where the scrub and the gravel get you.

What it is not: this is commercial clothing, it carries no defence approval, and nothing on it is fire resistant. Ten colourways, six sizes, and the sizing runs small.

What It Does
  • Kneeling work all shift: the pads live in pockets at the knee, so they are on you when you drop down instead of sitting in the crib bag with the rest of the good intentions.
  • Pads that stay put: hook-and-loop tabs below the knee and at the leg opening pull the trousers in, which keeps the pad over the kneecap rather than sliding down your shin.
  • Working under a pack: the knit torso panel is thinner than the sleeves, so the bulk and the seams sit away from where a vest or a pack strap rides.
  • Somewhere for everything: ten pockets on the trousers and a flapped pocket on each upper sleeve, so the phone, the multi-tool and the keys are not all fighting over one hip pocket.
  • Airsoft, paintball and bush work: matching top and bottom in ten patterns, with elbow and knee padding for the times you go to ground on purpose.
Key Features
  • Two-piece set: one shirt and one pair of cargo trousers in the same colourway, in the size letter you pick.
  • Four removable pads: two knee and two elbow, foam base with a moulded cap, seated in pockets inside the garment.
  • Two fabrics in the shirt: knit body and underarm panels, woven camo sleeves, yoke and stand collar.
  • Quarter-zip neck: opens to vent, closes up around your throat when the wind turns.
  • Sleeve pockets: one flapped pocket on each upper sleeve, with a hook-and-loop patch panel above it.
  • Ten trouser pockets: two hand, two flapped thigh cargo, two lower-leg and four at the rear, counted off the supplier's own photographs.
  • Adjustment down the leg: hook-and-loop tabs below the knee, at the leg opening and on the waistband, over a zip fly.
  • Ripstop grid: plainly visible in the weave in the supplier's close-up shots, though no fabric weight is stated.
  • Ten colourways, six sizes: S through XXXL, with the full body-measurement charts published in Specs.
  • Free delivery: to Australia and New Zealand, 10–14 days from the day you order.
Limits
  • Not fire resistant: no flame-resistant treatment is stated and no marking to EN ISO 11612 or AS/NZS 4824 was sighted. The supplier states the fabric is part polyester, and polyester melts rather than chars. Keep it away from welding, grinding sparks, hot work and open fire.
  • The pads meet no standard: nothing on them is marked to EN 14404 and no certificate was sighted. They spread your weight off gravel and concrete. They are not impact protection and they will not stop something sharp.
  • No water rating: nothing is stated about water resistance, and this is a cotton-blend uniform set rather than a shell. Rain goes through it.
  • Not issue kit: the cut and the patterns follow service clothing, but this is not military issue and it carries no defence approval. Treat the patches and flags in the supplier's photographs as trim on a sample, nothing more.
  • Sizing runs small: the supplier's charts are labelled Chinese sizing and tell you to take one to two sizes larger than usual. XXL is drawn for someone 183–190 cm (1830–1900 mm) and 85–90 kg.
  • One letter, both garments: the shirt and the trousers both come in the size you select. There is no option on this page for a large top with extra-large trousers.
  • Photo kit is not included: the belts, boots, gloves, caps, eyewear and patches in the supplier's photographs are not part of what ships.
  • No sun rating: long sleeves and full-length legs cover skin, but no sun-protection factor is printed on the garment or stated by the supplier.
  • No fabric weight: the supplier gives one blend figure for the whole set and no weight, so how hot it wears through a Queensland summer is not something the listing can tell you.

Q & A

Is this the shirt only, or do the trousers come as well?

Both. Every option on this page is one shirt and one pair of cargo trousers in the same camo, plus the pads. There is no shirt-only or trousers-only choice in the list.

Are the knee and elbow pads actually included?

Yes — four pads, two for the knees and two for the elbows. They slide into pockets inside the trousers and the sleeves and pull straight back out before a wash. What the supplier does not state is what the pads are made from or how thick they are, so treat them as kneeling comfort rather than protective equipment.

What size should I order?

Go by the numbers in the Specs tab, not by the letter. The charts are Chinese sizing and the supplier's own note says take one to two sizes bigger than usual. An XXL shirt measures 110 cm (1100 mm) around the bust and the matching trousers 98 cm (980 mm) at the waist. Measure a shirt and a pair of trousers you already wear, lay the numbers alongside, and pick from that.

Can I have a different size top and bottom?

No. One size letter covers both garments and there is no split-size option. If your top and bottom sizes are a long way apart, size for whichever matters more to you and expect the other to run loose or snug.

Will it stand up to welding sparks or a campfire?

No. Nothing on this set is fire resistant, no flame-resistant standard is stated, and the supplier states the fabric is part polyester, which melts. For hot work you want clothing marked to a flame-resistant standard, and this is not that clothing.

How long does it take to arrive?

10 to 14 days from the day you place the order, and it is worth allowing up to three weeks through a busy period. Delivery is free to Australia and New Zealand.
