The 4WD is a Mess. Zip it Up.
The first stretch of corrugations and everything in the cabin starts moving. The head torch is in the footwell, the first aid kit has slid off the back seat and the bag of snacks has emptied itself under the driver. Open pockets do not fix it either: light gear works its way up and out of them a little further with every bump.
This organiser straps over the back of a front seat and puts the gear behind zips. A big zipped pouch across the top with a laser-cut slotted panel on its face, a sleeve down the side for a water bottle, two zipped pouches across the middle (the right-hand one has a slot to pull tissues through) and a deep zipped pouch across the bottom. Hang it off the driver's or the passenger's seat and the kit sits at arm's reach of whoever is in the back, shut in until somebody wants it.
The organiser measures 620 × 420 mm on the factory's own dimension drawing and weighs about 650 g empty. That is the number that settles whether it suits your seat, so run a tape over the back of yours before you order. A buckled strap goes around the headrest, straps at the two bottom corners hold the lower edge in, and the supplier says the extended webbing suits sports seats as well.
What it Does
- Stops the Bounce: every pouch closes with a zip, so a rough track does not empty them into the footwell.
- Keeps a Bottle Upright: a sleeve down the side holds a drink bottle, with a D-ring on its face.
- Puts Tissues Where they are Needed: the right-hand middle pouch has a slot so tissues pull straight out of the box inside.
- Takes Patches and Small MOLLE Kit: the top pouch carries a laser-cut slotted panel, and a loop-faced strip runs along the top edge.
- Holds Pens and Sunnies: the photographs show pens tucked under the webbing on the top pouch and sunglasses hung through a small opening on a pouch face.
- Keeps Boots Off the Seat: the panel covers the back of the seat, which is where muddy boots land.
Key Features
- Size: 620 × 420 mm on the factory's dimension drawing, about 650 g empty.
- Four Zipped Pouches: one across the top, two across the middle, one deep pouch across the bottom; every zip has a cord pull.
- Side Bottle Sleeve: open-topped, down the right-hand side of the top pouch, with a D-ring.
- Tissue Slot: in the right-hand middle pouch.
- Laser-Cut Slotted Panel: on the face of the top pouch.
- Loop-Faced Strip: along the top edge, for hook-backed patches.
- Oxford Cloth: a woven polyester Oxford fabric, per the factory and the seller's specification list.
- Mounting: a buckled strap around the headrest, and straps at the two bottom corners.
- Five Colourways: Black Camo, Black, Tan, Army Green and CP Camo, all the same organiser.
- Organiser Only: the bottles, tissues, pens, sunglasses and gear in the photographs are not part of it.
Limits
Universal fit is a marketing word. The organiser is a fixed 620 × 420 mm. On a narrow seat it will overhang the sides; on a very wide one it will leave a gap. If your seat back carries a screen, a fold-down table or a rear air vent, this sits straight over the top of it.
No load rating, so keep it light. No figure is published for the pouches, the zips, the stitching or the straps. Treat it as a home for a torch, a phone, gloves, a drink bottle, tissues and a first aid pouch. Anything heavy enough to hurt in a sudden stop does not belong strapped to the back of a seat.
It is not waterproof and we will not call it that. There is no water rating and no seam sealing shown, and the bottle sleeve is open at the top. Anything that must stay dry needs its own dry bag.
We publish no denier figure. The fabric is Oxford cloth, but no denier or fabric weight is printed by the factory, so there is none on this page.
Zips are the trade-off. Shut pouches keep gear in, but grabbing something takes two hands and a moment longer than an open pocket does.
Q & A
How is it Different from the $59 MOLLE Panel?
The MOLLE Panel with 6 Pockets is a flat panel with six open pockets and five full rows of MOLLE webbing, built to carry your own pouches. This one is the closed version: four zipped pouches, a bottle sleeve and a tissue slot already sewn on, for when the gear has to stay put on a rough track.
Will it Fit my Vehicle?
Measure the back of your front seat and compare it against 620 mm tall by 420 mm wide. That is the whole answer. The photographs show it on car front seats and in a 4WD, and the supplier says the extended webbing suits sports seats. If your seat back has a screen, a fold-down table or a rear vent, it will cover it.
How does it Mount?
A buckled strap at the top goes around the headrest, and straps at the two bottom corners hold the lower edge in. The strap lengths and the adjustment range are not specified by the supplier.
Can I Add my Own MOLLE Pouches?
The top pouch carries a laser-cut slotted panel, and the supplier's photographs show pens held under its webbing. It is a small panel, not a full MOLLE board. If you want to build up your own pouches, the MOLLE panel linked above is the better choice.
Are the Five Colours the Same Organiser?
Yes. Same pouches, same layout; only the fabric colour changes.
