Back Seat Chaos, Sorted.
Two hours into a long drive and the back of the front seats tells the story. Shoe prints across the upholstery, a drink bottle rolling around under the seat, the tablet sliding off a lap at every bend and a box of tissues nobody in the back can reach. Every stop turns into a hunt through the footwell.
This black PU panel straps over the back of a front seat and gives the back-seat gear a home. A pocket for a tablet and one for a phone across the top, two bottle holders with a lidded tissue pouch between them, and a full-width pocket across the bottom for books and bits. The panel covers the seat back, so the shoes land on it rather than on the upholstery.
The supplier's dimension drawing gives the panel as 600 × 430 mm; the supplier's written description says 620 × 420 mm. They do not agree, so we print both. Run a tape over the back of your seat before you order. Two buckled straps go around the top of the seat and two hooked straps catch under the bottom edge.
What it Does
- Takes the Shoe Marks: the panel covers the back of the seat, so the shoes land on it; the supplier calls the PU face "easy care".
- Holds the Tablet and the Phone: two pockets across the top row, 270 mm and 140 mm wide.
- Stands Two Bottles Up: a 90 mm holder either side of the middle row.
- Keeps Tissues in Reach: the centre pouch holds a tissue box under a flap, and the photographs show tissues pulled straight out of it.
- Swallows the Loose Stuff: a full-width bottom pocket, 220 mm deep, for books, colouring-in and the odd jumper.
Key Features
- Panel Size: 600 × 430 mm on the supplier's drawing; 620 × 420 mm in the supplier's text.
- Top Row: two pockets, 140 mm and 270 mm wide, 140 mm deep.
- Middle Row: two 90 mm bottle holders and a 190 mm centre pouch with a flap, 120 mm deep.
- Bottom Pocket: full width, 220 mm deep.
- PU Face: black, with a textured finish the supplier calls a Napa pattern.
- Layered Construction: PU face, a textile layer, a foam layer and a soft fibre lining, as shown in the supplier's cut-away picture.
- Mounting: two buckled straps at the top, two straps with hooks at the bottom.
- Organiser Only: the tablet, phone, bottles, tissues and books in the photographs are not included.
Limits
It is PU, not leather. The face is polyurethane, the synthetic most car-seat accessories are made from. It looks the part, but it is not hide.
Two size figures that disagree. 600 × 430 mm on the drawing, 620 × 420 mm in the text. The 20 mm difference will not matter on most seats, but on a narrow one it might, so measure.
A pocket, not a screen mount. The tablet sits down inside the top pocket with its top edge showing, as in the photographs. It is somewhere to keep the tablet, not something to watch it from. The pocket is 270 mm across, so measure your tablet.
No load rating, so keep it light. The supplier publishes no load figure for the pockets or the straps. Bottles, a tablet, books and tissues, yes. Anything heavy enough to hurt in a sudden stop, no.
No water rating. None is published. In a spill, whatever is inside a pocket gets wet.
Q & A
Will it Fit my Car?
Measure the back of your front seat and compare it against roughly 600 × 430 mm (the supplier also quotes 620 × 420 mm). The top straps go around the seat and nothing clips to the headrest posts, so the fit comes down to the panel size.
How does it Mount?
Two straps with buckles go around the top of the seat, and two straps with hooks catch under the bottom edge. The strap lengths and the adjustment range are not specified by the supplier.
Will my Tablet Fit?
The top tablet pocket is 270 mm across and 140 mm deep, so a tablet narrower than 270 mm drops in with its top edge showing. Measure yours across the short side if it lives in landscape.
Is it Real Leather?
No. It is PU, a synthetic leather-look face, over a foam layer and a soft lining.
How is it Different from the MOLLE Organisers?
This one is for passengers: tablet, bottles, tissues and books. The two MOLLE organisers are built for gear such as torches, first aid and gloves: the MOLLE Panel with 6 Pockets takes your own MOLLE pouches, and our zipped MOLLE organiser comes with four zipped pouches already sewn on.
