Knees go first. These have a panel over them.

The knee is where work trousers die. Kneeling on gravel, on a concrete slab, on a steel deck or in the back of a trailer, you grind through the knee long before the seat or the pockets give up. Then you are buying another pair mid-season, or you are turning up to a job with a hole in your leg and getting sent home to change.

These are cut for that. The fabric shows a ripstop grid, the knee is articulated so the leg bends without dragging the cloth tight across it, and there is a second layer of textured fabric sitting over the knee and running down the shin — the two places that actually wear out. Pockets sit on the thigh, the lower leg and the seat, all under flaps, so gear stays put when you are climbing in and out of a machine all shift.

What the supplier does not publish is a number. There is no Martindale abrasion figure, no denier, and no fibre percentages printed anywhere on the artwork. • Bends when you bend: shaped knee seams and a yoke across the seat mean squatting, climbing a ladder or getting into a cab does not pull the whole leg tight.
• Carries the small gear: flapped thigh and lower-leg pockets keep a multi-tool, a roll of tape or a notepad off your back pockets when you are sitting down for hours.
• Takes a proper belt: conventional belt loops plus webbing loops on the waistband, so a wide rigger's belt sits where you put it instead of dragging the waistband down.
• Blends in or stands out: eight colourways from black and grey through khaki, army green and multicam — pick what suits where you work rather than announcing you.

• No abrasion figure: no Martindale cycle count to ISO 12947, no denier, no fibre percentages. "Wear-resistant" is the supplier's wording, not a tested result, and this page does not treat it as one.
• Not waterproof: no water-resistance rating is published for this garment. In rain, treat them as ordinary trousers.
• Tactical is a style: the camouflage and multicam prints are a fabric pattern and nothing more. These are commercial trousers sold to the public. They are not issued kit, they carry no armed-forces approval, and nothing on this page should be read as claiming one.

What are they actually made of?

The supplier publishes no fibre content for this listing. What the images show is a ripstop weave with a second textured layer over the knee and shin. There is no percentage on this page because there is no percentage on the artwork.

Are they waterproof?

No. No water-resistance rating is published for them, so rain will come through much as it would through any ordinary trouser. If you need to stay dry, these are not the layer that does it.

How long is the leg?

Total length runs 101 cm (1010 mm) at M through to 109 cm (1090 mm) at 3XL. That is the whole trouser as the supplier measures it, not an inseam, so measure a pair you already own the same way before you compare.

Will they take knee pads?

The knee panel is a second layer of fabric rather than padding, and no pads come with them. The supplier does not state whether there is an internal pocket sized to hold a pad, so we cannot tell you either way.
