For a 48V battery system, the busbar size depends on the current draw and desired voltage drop. A common recommendation is to use a busbar rated for at least 300A, with thicker and wider busbars providing lower voltage drop and temperature rise. For example, a busbar of 1/8" thick x 3/4" wide, or even 3/16" x 1" is suggested, especially for larger systems.
