Most camo caps come in one generic woodland print, and it is wrong for half the places you actually go. Green woodland stands out over a dry reed bed, looks like a mistake against snow, and does nothing for you in burnt-off summer scrub.

This range takes one plain six-panel cap and runs it through thirteen different fabric prints: green and brown leaf litter for timbered country, dry reed and grass for the wetlands, snow patterns for the high country, and a bright orange print for when being seen is the point, not the problem.

Two things worth knowing before you pick one. Each cap is cut from the patterned fabric at random, so the print on yours will not sit exactly where it sits in the photo – the supplier says so plainly, and it is the nature of camo caps. And the supplier states the fabric as 100% cotton on some patterns and a 65/35 cotton-polyester blend on others, without saying which is which. If exact fibre content matters to you, that is the honest state of it.

Limits

Plain talk about what this cap is not.

• Not certified hi-vis: the orange print is bright, but no part of this cap is tested or marked to AS/NZS 1906.4 or AS/NZS 4602.1, and no standard is printed on it. If your site or your state's hunting rules call for certified hi-vis or a set amount of solid hunter orange, check the rule before relying on a cap.
• No UPF rating: the brim shades your face, but there is no tested UPF figure printed on this cap, so we will not quote one. For all-day summer sun you still want sunscreen, a collar, or a wide-brim hat.
• Not waterproof: there is no coating or membrane, and a wet cotton cap stays wet. Fine in drizzle; take a shell hood for real rain.
• One size has edges: the strap covers a stated 56–60 cm. Outside that range it simply runs out of adjustment.
• No two caps match: panels are cut from the patterned fabric at random, so the print placement on your cap will differ from the photos.

Q & A

Will my cap look exactly like the photo?

Same pattern, same colours, different layout. The supplier cuts each panel from the printed fabric at random, so every cap sits the pattern a little differently. That is normal for camo caps, not a fault.

What is it actually made of?

The supplier states 100% cotton for some patterns and 65% cotton / 35% polyester for others, without marking which colourway is which. Either way it is a soft woven cap fabric, not a laminated or coated shell.

Will it fit my head?

The rear strap adjusts across a supplier-stated 56–60 cm (560–600 mm). Run a tape around your head just above the ears and eyebrows; if you land in that range you are fine.

Is the orange one legal hunter orange?

It is a bright orange print with a dark branch overlay, and it carries no certification. Rules on blaze orange differ by state and by hunt – some call for a set area of solid orange – so check the rule that covers your hunt before counting a cap towards it.

How do I wash it?

The supplier gives no care instructions and no care label is visible in the photos. The safe treatment for a printed cotton cap is a cool hand wash and air dry out of direct sun – a hot machine wash or tumble dry is how printed caps lose their shape and colour.
