Fence wire that needs cutting, a battery terminal that needs gripping, a screw working loose on the quad — and the toolbox is back at the shed. Most of the jobs that stop you mid-task are thirty-second fixes. The problem is never the fix; it is having something within reach to do it with.

The Ganzo G302 series is a full-size, spring-loaded plier multitool: needle-nose jaws, a locking main blade, a serrated blade, a saw, scissors and an eleven-bit driver kit, the lot riding in a nylon belt pouch. Two finishes of the same tool — the G302-B in black, the G302-H in satin stainless.

It is honest gear. The working steel is 440C, the fold-out tools lock open, and the wire cutters are bolt-on inserts — chew them out on hard wire one day and you replace the insert, not the tool.

What It Does

• Grips and cuts: spring-loaded needle-nose pliers with a standard grip section and replaceable wire cutter inserts in the jaw.
• Two blades, both locking: a plain-edge main blade for clean cuts and a serrated blade for rope, cord and strapping.
• Drives screws: eleven bits — PH1 to PH3, flat 3, 5 and 7 mm, hex 2 to 6 mm — plus a bit adapter and a small built-in flathead.
• Saws and pierces: a wood saw for small jobs and an awl with a threading eye for leather, canvas and cord repairs.
• Opens dinner: can opener, bottle opener and fold-out scissors for the camp kitchen.
• Strips cable: a dedicated stripping notch peels insulation without nicking the copper.
• Stays with you: the nylon belt pouch carries the tool and the full bit set together, so the kit is one grab from the belt.

Limits

A multitool is the tool you have on you, not the best tool for any one job. Here is where this one stops:

• Small saw, small scissors: roughly 50 mm of saw teeth and a short scissor cut — right for cord, zip ties and packaging, wrong for pruning branches or cutting fabric runs.
• Not for live electrical work: it is bare steel with no insulation rating of any kind. Isolate the circuit first, every time.
• High-tensile fence wire is a hard ask: the cutters handle soft and medium wire; a full day on the strainers wants dedicated fencing pliers. The inserts are replaceable for a reason.
• The black coating wears: contact points on the G302-B polish up with use. Cosmetic, not structural.
• Stainless is not rustproof: 440C resists corrosion but will spot if it is put away wet, especially after salt water. Rinse, dry, and keep a drop of oil on the pivots.

Q & A

Does the blade lock open?

Yes. The fold-out tools — both blades and the saw included — lock open automatically, and release with the slide on the handle. The supplier calls it an auto-lock. No folding onto your fingers mid-cut.

What is the difference between Black and Stainless?

Finish only. Black is the G302-B with a black coating; Stainless is the G302-H in satin-finished steel. Tools, bits and pouch are identical.

Is it really 26 tools in one?

Ganzo markets it as 26-in-1, and the number only gets there by counting the eleven driver bits, the bit adapter and items like the lanyard ring. On the tool itself the supplier’s own list numbers 13 functions. The full tally is in the Specs tab — we would rather you know how the number is reached.

Can I replace the wire cutters when they wear?

Yes. The cutting edges are separate inserts held in the jaw by screws, so a worn or chipped edge swaps out instead of retiring the whole tool.

Can it fly in carry-on luggage?

No. It carries knife blades, so it travels in checked baggage or stays home — the same answer as any bladed multitool.

What bits are in the kit?

Phillips PH1, PH2 and PH3; flat 3 mm, 5 mm and 7 mm; hex 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 mm — eleven bits plus the adapter, stowed in the belt pouch with the tool.
