Caught in a Downpour with your Sleeping Bag in your Pack?

The forecast said clearing, the sky didn't agree, and you're an hour from the car. Most daypacks and hiking packs aren't made to keep a real storm out, so the spare clothes, the sleeping bag and the phone at the bottom all get wet together.

This cover pulls over the top and sides of your pack and cinches round the back on an elastic edge with an adjuster. A reflective strip runs down the middle to catch headlights at dusk. Pick the size by your pack's litres, from 8 to 55 L, and choose from six colours.

What it Does
  • Day Walks When the Weather Turns: pull it out of the lid pocket when the first drops land.
  • Overnight Hikes: keeps the dew and a shower off the pack sitting outside the tent.
  • School & Work Packs: keeps a shower off the school or laptop bag on the walk from the bus stop.
  • Dusty Tracks: keeps the worst of the dust off a pack riding in the ute tray.
  • Walking a Road Edge at Dusk: the reflective strip shows up in headlights.
Key Features
  • Sized by Litres: XS (8–17 L), S (22–29 L), M (30–40 L) and L (45–55 L).
  • Elastic Edge with Adjuster: draws in round the back of the pack so the wind doesn't take it.
  • Reflective Strip: a vertical strip down the back on every colour.
  • Packs Small: folds flat into a lid or side pocket when the sun comes out.
  • Six Colours: army green, black, royal blue, fluoro green, orange or red.

Limits

Keeps Rain Off, it's Not a Dry Bag. The cover sits over the top and sides; the strap side against your back stays open. In a long soaking, pack the sleeping bag in a liner too.

No Waterproof Rating Claimed. The supplier's pictures quote figures we can't check, so we don't repeat them.

Reflective, Not Hi-Vis. The strip reflects light. The cover isn't certified high-visibility safety wear.

Pick by Litres, Not by Letter. The supplier's size charts disagree with each other, so go by the litre range on the size button. Between two sizes? Take the bigger one: a loose cover still works, a tight one won't go on.

Gear Strapped Outside the Pack. A sleeping mat or poles strapped to the outside may not fit under the cover.
