Track My Order

One corrugated track shouldn't cost you a camera.

You know how it goes. Three hours of corrugations, a splash through a creek crossing, and when you open the tub at camp the red dust is already inside — sitting on your camera, your drone, your handheld UHF. Clip-lock tubs and canvas bags were never built to seal, and loose gear grinds itself to bits long before anything gets dropped.

This is a proper sealed case. The lid closes onto an o-ring gasket, an automatic pressure-equalisation valve lets the case breathe through altitude and temperature changes without letting weather in, and twin press latches clamp it shut. Inside, a three-layer sponge set holds your gear still: wave foam in the lid, a pre-cut middle pad you pull sections out of to nest your kit, and a solid pad on the base.

Straight up: the sealing hardware is real, but the supplier publishes no IP rating — so we are not calling it waterproof. Rain, spray, dust and a splashy crossing are what it is built for; deliberate dunking is not. The Limits tab has the detail.

What It Does
  • Keeps the red dust out: the o-ring seals the lid edge, so fine dust stays off sensors, lenses and connectors instead of working into them.
  • Stops the rattle damage: foam above and below means the corrugations shake the case, not the gear inside it.
  • Comms stay ready: a dry, padded home for the handheld UHF, sat phone or PLB, so it still works when the day goes sideways.
  • Nests your camera kit: pull sections from the pre-cut middle pad and give a body, lenses and batteries a pocket each.
  • Rides with the crew's load: padlock the lid through the two 6 mm holes before it goes in the shared tray or the site store.
Key Features
  • O-ring sealed lid: a rubber gasket runs the full lid channel — you can see it in the gallery photos.
  • Pressure-equalisation valve: balances internal air pressure automatically after altitude or temperature swings, so the lid never vacuums shut.
  • ABS shell: supplier-stated ABS plastic, ribbed on every face for stiffness.
  • Three-layer sponge set: wave foam in the lid, pre-cut pad in the middle, solid pad on the base.
  • Customisable middle pad: the middle layer is pre-cut — pull out sections by hand to match your gear, no knife needed.
  • Twin press latches: both need a deliberate press to open, so a pothole will not pop the lid.
  • Padlock ready: two 6 mm padlock holes moulded into the case (padlocks not included).
  • Five sizes: from 250 x 200 x 76 mm for a single camera or radio up to 420 x 360 x 120 mm — internal sizes are in the Specs tab, check them before you order.

Limits

Every one of these earns its keep, but you should know exactly where the line is before you spend the money.

  • No IP rating published: the o-ring and pressure valve are real, but the supplier publishes no IP rating or immersion depth, so we are not calling this case waterproof. Treat it as sealed against rain, spray, dust and a brief splash. Do not deliberately submerge it, and do not trust it as a dive or boating dry box.
  • No drop or crush rating: no tested drop height or load figure is published. It will take normal ute-tray knocks, but do not stand on it or stack heavy gear on top.
  • Not a security safe: the padlock holes deter casual interference; a determined thief with tools gets in. Do not store irreplaceable valuables on the strength of a padlock hole.
  • Soft sponge, not rigid foam: the pads are soft sponge, not dense custom-cut inserts. Very heavy items like a full socket set will compress it and can shift on rough tracks.
  • The big case is shallow: the 420 x 360 x 120 mm size has a stated internal depth of just 79 mm — wide and flat suits instruments and flat-packed kit, not tall items. Check internal sizes in Specs.
  • Weight unpublished: the supplier states no weight for any size, so if every gram in your pack matters, this is a gamble we cannot price for you.

Q & A

Are the sizes in the dropdown internal or external?

External. The usable space inside is smaller — the supplier states both, and the full list is in the Specs tab. Measure your gear against the internal figures, not the size name.

Can it go underwater — creek crossings, boat work?

It has an o-ring seal and a pressure valve, and it will shrug off rain, spray and a quick splash. No IP rating or depth figure is published though, so do not deliberately submerge it, and do not rely on it to save electronics that go overboard.

Can I customise the foam for my camera or drone?

Yes. The middle layer is pre-cut sponge — pull out sections by hand to make pockets that match your gear. The wave foam in the lid then presses everything down so nothing moves.

Which size for a folding drone kit?

Measure the drone folded, plus controller and spare batteries, and compare against the internal dimensions in Specs. The 340 x 270 x 125 mm case has the deepest inside at 115 mm; the biggest case is actually the shallowest inside at 79 mm.

Will it survive checked baggage on a flight?

The pressure valve handles the altitude changes and the shell and foam are up to normal handling. There is no published drop rating though, so centre fragile gear in the foam and expect airline treatment, not miracles.

Can I lock it?

Yes — two 6 mm padlock holes are moulded into the case. Padlocks are not included; any small padlock with a shackle that fits a 6 mm hole will do.
