One pair of sunnys never suits every light.

Glare is what gets you. Off the water at first light, off the windscreen on a wet road, off pale gravel at midday — it flattens everything out and hides the one thing you needed to see. And the pair of sunnys you own is in the other vehicle.

These are polarised wrap-arounds sold the way sunnys actually get used: in packs. A 2-pair or 3-pair box mixes a black lens with mirror or contrast tints, so there is a pair in the ute, a pair in the tackle box and a spare for the pair you sit on. Sunnys rarely wear out — they get lost, scratched and crushed. The fix is not a dearer pair; it is a spare pair.

The arms are printed CAT.3 POLARIZED — a real lens-category marking for a dark, bright-sun lens. What these are not is night-vision gear, and the yellow-lens pair in one of the packs will not turn night into day. That is spelled out under Limits, because it matters.

What It Does
  • Kills reflected glare: the polarised filter cuts the bounce off water, glass and wet bitumen, so you read the surface instead of squinting at it.
  • Covers every vehicle: two or three pairs per box — one for the ute, one for the boat, one spare.
  • Bright-sun dark lens: Cat. 3 marking printed on the arms, the grade of tint made for full Australian sun.
  • Wrap-around coverage: 143 mm wide frame hugs the side of your face and keeps wind and side-light out.
  • Stays put: the supplier shows a flexible frame, a moulded-in nose pad and grippy red-tipped arms.
Key Features
  • Polarised lenses: printed on the temple arms, and you can prove it yourself in ten seconds — see Q & A.
  • Cat. 3 marked: CAT.3 POLARIZED printed inside the arm — a sighted marking, not a line of ad copy.
  • Pack options: every 2-pair pack teams a black lens with green, red, blue or yellow; 3-pair packs add a third tint.
  • Lens tints: black, green mirror, red mirror, blue mirror and yellow high-contrast.
  • Matte black frame: wrap-around style with red temple accents and soft arm tips.
  • Sizing stated: 65 mm lenses, 18 mm bridge, 143 mm frame width, 122 mm arms, off the supplier's own chart.

Limits

These are not night vision, because nothing passive is. The yellow pair is a contrast tint for dull daylight — overcast, drizzle, early starts. It does not let you see in the dark, and it does not make night driving safer: any tint cuts the total light reaching your eye, and at night you have none to spare.

Never drive at night in the dark pairs. A Cat. 3 lens is made for bright sun and is far too dark for night or twilight driving. That is what the marking on the arm means, and it is not negotiable.

Nothing here is photochromic. The supplier states nothing about the tint changing with light, so treat every pair as a fixed tint. Worth knowing either way: genuine photochromic lenses barely darken behind a windscreen, because the windscreen blocks the UV that triggers them.

They are not safety glasses. No impact rating was sighted and nothing is marked to AS/NZS 1337.1. Fine behind the wheel or on the water; not eye protection for grinding, cutting or strike work.

UV400 is the supplier's stated rating. It is a common lens marking, not an independent certification — no AS/NZS 1067.1 test certificate was sighted.

Q & A

Are they really polarised?

The arms are printed CAT.3 POLARIZED, and you do not have to take anyone's word for it. Hold the glasses in front of a phone or LCD screen and rotate them 90 degrees — through a genuine polarised lens the screen goes dark. Test them the day they arrive.

Will the yellow lenses help me see at night?

No. Nothing you wear over your eyes adds light. The yellow tint lifts contrast in dull daylight — overcast skies, drizzle, dawn starts — and that is where it earns its keep. At night, wear nothing over your eyes at all.

What do I get in each pack?

Each option is a boxed combination in the same matte black frame. The 2-pair packs team a black lens with green, red, blue or yellow. The 3-pair packs are black, red and blue, or red, blue and green.

Can I wear them as safety specs on site?

No. They carry no sighted impact rating, so they do not replace rated eye protection for any task that requires it. They are sunnys — good ones, worn for what sunnys do.

What size head do they fit?

The supplier's chart says 143 mm across the frame, 122 mm arms and 65 mm lenses — a medium-to-large adult fit. There are no fitted sizes.

How long is delivery?

Delivery is free to Australia and New Zealand. Allow 10–14 days from the day you order, and up to 3 weeks at the outside.
