Can't Find a Fiji or Lebanon Flag Before the Match?
Try finding a Fijian, Lebanese or South Korean flag the week before a big match or a cultural day and you'll know the problem — the home flag is everywhere and the rest are a hunt. When one does turn up, nobody tells you what it actually is. It's either too small for the pole you already own or too big for the wall you had in mind. Then it goes up permanently, and by the end of a hot summer it's faded and the fly end is in ribbons, and you're left wondering whether you bought a dud.
This is a printed polyester national flag in two sizes — 900 × 1500 mm and 600 × 900 mm — in 39 countries. Every one is built the same way — the hoist edge carries a white header strip with metal eyelets, so it hangs off clips or a length of cord — though not every country comes from the same maker, and seven countries come in the big size only. Eyelet size is not specified by supplier. It is not a heavyweight sewn-and-appliquéd ceremonial flag, and we're not going to sell it as one.
Flown now and then — a long weekend, a regatta, a shed wall, the back of the caravan — it has an easy life. Flown continuously in full sun and wind, it is a consumable. The honest version of that is under Limits, and it is worth reading before you choose a size.
What it Does
- On the Shed or Farm Gate: the 600 × 900 mm pins flat to a wall, a shed end or a verandah beam — no pole, no ladder, no hardware to buy.
- On a Caravan or Camper: small enough to run off the awning pole or an aerial at camp, and to come down and fold away before you hitch up and move on.
- On a Boat: clips or a length of cord through the eyelets put the 600 × 900 mm on a boat staff for the day. It is not rated for constant salt spray, so bring it in between trips.
- On a Domestic Flagpole: 900 × 1500 mm is the bigger of the two, for a home or club pole.
- A Long Way from Home: the flag of the place you grew up in folds into a bag or a camp box, which is the whole argument for a printed flag over a sewn one if you're working or living a long way from it.
Key Features
- 39 Countries: Australia, New Zealand and 37 more — the full list is under Specs. Pick the country and the size from the menus.
- Same Build Every Country: printed polyester, a white header strip and metal eyelets whichever country you choose. The flags come from more than one maker, so the shade and finish can differ a little from one country to the next.
- Polyester Fabric: printed polyester. The supplier gives no fabric weight, so we don't quote one.
- Printed Design: each country's design is printed into the fabric, not cut and stitched on as separate panels.
- White Header Strip: a white strip runs the full hoist edge, so the eyelets pull on the strip rather than on the printed field.
- Metal Eyelets: one at the top and one at the bottom of the header strip in the supplier's photos — for clips, shackles or cord.
- Two Sizes: 900 × 1500 mm for a pole, 600 × 900 mm for a wall, a caravan, a boat or a window. Cook Islands, Ireland, Nepal, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Sri Lanka and Vietnam come in 900 × 1500 mm only.
- Proportions: 900 × 1500 mm works out at 3:5 and 600 × 900 mm at 2:3 — measure your bracket or halyard span before you choose.
- Packs Flat: folds down small, so it lives in a glovebox, a crib bag or a camp box.
- Delivery: Free Standard Delivery, with no minimum spend.
Limits
Flown continuously, a printed polyester flag is a consumable. Full sun fades the colour and constant wind chews the fly end into a fringe. That is what happens to every printed flag left up permanently — it is not a fault, and no amount of copy can talk you out of it. A flag that goes up for the weekend and comes back in will stay presentable far longer than one left up every day of the year.
No life span is stated, and we are not going to invent one. The supplier gives no fabric weight in GSM, no UV rating and no expected service life. Anyone quoting you a figure for a flag at this price is guessing. If you intend to fly one permanently, plan on replacing it, and keep the spare in the cupboard.
The design is printed, not sewn, and we can't show you the back. Nothing is stated about how the reverse is printed. We are not going to guess at it. If the print shows through to the back, lettering on a flag such as Brazil or Iraq would read backwards from behind. If you need a flag that reads correctly from both sides, you want a double-sided or a sewn flag, and this is not it.
Every country is cut to the same sizes. 900 × 1500 mm is 3:5 and 600 × 900 mm is 2:3, whatever the country. Official proportions differ from country to country — the official Australian National Flag, for one, is twice as long as it is high — and the supplier publishes no colour reference either. For a shed wall, a caravan or a domestic pole nobody will ever notice. For anything official, ceremonial or protocol-bound, buy a flag made to that country's official specification from a flag specialist — we would rather tell you now than take the order.
Nepal is printed on a rectangle. Nepal's real flag is two stacked pennants, the only national flag that isn't a rectangle. This one prints that shape on a white rectangular flag, so the pennants sit on a white background.
It arrives folded. Expect creases out of the pack. They drop out after a day or two of flying, or under a cool iron on the reverse if you want it flat on a wall straight away.
Nothing else is in the box. No pole, no bracket, no clips, no cord and no shackles. The eyelets are the fixing point and everything that goes through them is on you.
Look after it and take it down. Bring it in when the weather turns, bring it in when you're not using it, and it stays presentable a great deal longer. A faded, frayed flag does no country any credit.
Q & A
Which Countries can I Get?
39 — Australia, New Zealand, Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, China, Cook Islands, Croatia, England, Fiji, France, Germany, Greece, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Lebanon, Malaysia, Nepal, Netherlands, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Poland, Samoa, Scotland, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Tonga, United Kingdom, United States, Vietnam and Wales. Cook Islands, Ireland, Nepal, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Sri Lanka and Vietnam come in 900 × 1500 mm only. If a country isn't on that list, we don't stock it.
What Sizes can I Get?
Two — 900 × 1500 mm and 600 × 900 mm — in every country except Cook Islands, Ireland, Nepal, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Sri Lanka and Vietnam, which come in 900 × 1500 mm only. The larger one suits a standard domestic or club flagpole. The smaller one suits a wall, a caravan awning pole, a boat staff or a window. Pick the country and the size on the product page before you add it to the cart.
Is Every Country the Same Flag?
The same kind of flag, but not always the same maker. Every country on this listing is printed polyester with a white header strip and metal eyelets. The flags come from more than one maker, so the shade and finish can differ a little from one country to the next.
Is the Design Printed on Both Sides?
No double-sided version is offered. Nothing is stated about the back, so we won't guess at it. On a wall, hang the printed face out.
How does it Attach to a Pole?
Through the metal eyelets in the white header strip on the hoist edge. Flag clips or a length of cord through the eyelets. Eyelet size is not specified by supplier. There is no rope-and-toggle.
Can I Leave it Flying All Year?
You can, but it will not stay looking new. Sun fades printed polyester and wind frays the fly end. If it is going up permanently, treat it as something you replace rather than something you keep, and take it down when a big blow is forecast.
Does it Come with a Pole or Clips?
No. The flag only. No pole, bracket, clips, cord or shackles are included.
How do I Wash it?
The supplier states no care instructions. Treat it as a printed polyester item — a cold hand wash and drip dry is the low-risk approach, and keep it away from a hot dryer.
How Long will it Take to Arrive?
Allow 5 to 10 working days from the day you order. Allow 1–2 days for fulfilment. Regional and remote addresses take longer again. Free Standard Delivery.
Do you Deliver Overseas?
Yes — Free Standard Delivery, the same as at home, except to the United States, which is not on our checkout. Import duty and tax charged on arrival in your country are yours to pay.
