Men's Camouflage Cargo Shorts

Pockets that carry what your hands can't.

Middle of summer, forty degrees, and you're in and out of the ute all day. You've got a phone, keys, a multitool and a folded-up dogging ticket, and nowhere sensible to put any of it. Board shorts give you one pocket that everything falls out of the second you sit down. Long work trousers cook you by ten in the morning.

These are cotton cargo shorts with eight pockets, and six of them shut. Flap pockets on the thighs, smaller flap pockets below them on the side seams, flap pockets on the seat, and open hand pockets at the hips. The phone goes in a pocket with a flap over it, not a pocket it can slide out of when you swing up onto the tray.

Plain cotton, so it breathes and it takes a beating. The camo is on the pocket facings, the fly lining and the waistband trim, with the body of the short in a solid colour on most of the range. It is a pattern, not concealment — nobody is disappearing into scrub in these.

One thing to get right before you order: the sizing is cut small. The supplier's own chart warns it runs one to two sizes under what you'd expect from a US or European label. The real measurements are in the Specs tab in centimetres. Measure a pair of shorts you already wear and compare the numbers — don't just order your usual waist size.

What It Does

• Keeps the phone off the ground: a flap pocket on the thigh holds it while you're climbing in and out of a cab, a boat or a tractor — an open hip pocket does not.
• Saves carrying a bum bag: keys, multitool, phone, wallet and a rag all have somewhere to live, so you're not walking back to the vehicle every twenty minutes.
• Stops you overheating in long strides: cotton and a short leg beat drill trousers on a fencing job in February, and you're still covered enough to kneel on gravel.
• Handles a wet, sandy day: boat ramps, river crossings and campsites — cotton takes salt, dust and a hose-off, and it softens instead of going stiff.
• Splits the small stuff up: the lower side pockets take the things you don't want rattling around with your keys — a lighter, a headtorch, a spare set of ear plugs.

Key Features

• Camo where it takes the wear: pocket facings, flaps, waistband trim and fly lining, so the pattern sits on the panels that get scuffed.
• Lined pocket bags: contrast check-woven pocket bags rather than raw cut cotton.
• Six waist sizes: 30, 31, 32, 34, 36 and 38, with the supplier's measured waist, hip, length and leg opening published in centimetres in the Specs tab.
• Eleven colour codes: Khaki, Green, Blue, Khaki01, Blue01, Green01, Black01, Khaki02, Green02, Blue02 and Dark Gray02 — spelled exactly as they appear at the checkout.
• Free delivery: Australia and New Zealand, no minimum spend.

Limits

What these shorts are not, said plainly.

• Camo is a pattern, not concealment: this is a printed cotton short. It will not hide you from anything, and we are not going to pretend otherwise.
• Not certified workwear: no flame resistance, no cut or abrasion rating, no hi-vis, no knee protection and no compliance approval of any kind. If your site has a PPE standard for legwear, these do not meet it.
• No sun rating: the supplier publishes no UPF figure, so treat them as ordinary cotton and cover up the rest of you.
• The sizing runs small: the supplier's chart says one to two sizes under US and European labelling, and allows up to 3 cm (30 mm) of variation between pairs. Measure before you order — change of mind is not a returnable reason.
• No stretch is claimed: nothing in the supplier's information mentions elastane or any stretch content. Assume a woven cotton with no give.
• Fabric weight is unpublished: there is no GSM figure, so we cannot tell you how heavy the cotton is compared with a drill work short.
• Cotton does not dry fast: soaked through on a boat or in a river crossing, these take longer to dry than a synthetic quick-dry short. That is the trade for the breathability.
• The belt is not confirmed: a webbing belt appears in most of the photographs. The supplier does not state that it is included, so order on the basis that it is not.
• The colour photos repeat: several of the eleven colour codes share the same photograph, so the swatch you click is not a reliable guide to the exact shade.
• Dark Gray02 looks different: its photograph shows an all-over camouflage short with no thigh cargo pockets, not the camo-trimmed eight-pocket build shown on the rest. Ask before ordering that one.

Q & A

What size should I order?

Measure a pair of shorts you already wear — flat, across the waistband, doubled — and compare it against the waist figures in the Specs tab. The supplier's own warning is that these run one to two sizes smaller than a US or European label, so for most Australian buyers that means going up. Do not order your usual waist number without checking it against the chart.

Is there a real measurement chart, or just S/M/L?

There is a real one, and it is published in the Specs tab as text: waist, hip, garment length and leg opening in centimetres for every size we sell, plus the supplier's height and weight guidance. The supplier allows 1–3 cm (10–30 mm) of variation between pairs because they are measured by hand.

How many pockets, and do they close?

Eight, counted off the supplier's photographs — two flap cargo pockets on the thighs, two smaller flap pockets below them on the side seams, two flap pockets on the seat and two open hand pockets at the hips. The six flap pockets close; the two hand pockets are open. The supplier does not publish a pocket count of its own.

What are they made of?

Cotton, as stated by the supplier. The exact blend percentage, the fabric weight and any stretch content are not published, so we have not put numbers against them. If that is a dealbreaker, say so before you order.

Can I wear these on site?

Only where shorts are permitted and no rated legwear is required. They carry no flame, cut or abrasion rating and no compliance approval. Plenty of blokes wear them on the farm, on the boat and around camp — that is what they are for.

Will the camo actually hide me while hunting?

No. It is a printed cotton short, and on most colourways the camo is only on the pocket facings and trim. Buy them because the pockets and the airflow suit you, not for concealment.

How long does delivery take?

Ten to fourteen days from the day you order, and we ask you to allow up to three weeks. Regional and remote addresses take longer again. Delivery is free to Australia and New Zealand with no minimum spend.

Read the chart like this. Garment length is the outside length of the short from the waistband down, not the inside leg — the supplier does not publish an inside leg figure. Leg opening is the width around the hem. The supplier allows 1–3 cm (10–30 mm) of variation because the pairs are measured by hand, and warns the cut runs one to two sizes smaller than US and European labelling. The supplier's chart also lists sizes 28, 29 and 33; we do not sell those, so they are not shown here.
